Huge College Football Scheduling News: Liberty And James Madison Agreed To Play Eachother On September 15, 2040

We don't talk enough about how dumb college football scheduling is. We're currently in the year of our Lord 2025 and I've gotta log on Twitter to see "FBschedules" announce that JMU and Liberty are playing on September 15, 2040. If you want to feel old, just know there's a college football game scheduled for whatever age you are now and add 15 years to it. Some of you reading this are gonna be in the nursing home by then and there's nothing you can do about it.

Remember when Cal and UCLA scheduled a game like 48 hours in advance during COVID? Now we've got games being scheduled for over a literal decade. And I know this stuff has been going on forever, but it doesn't make it any less stupid. It's even further than Jim Nantz (GOAT) saying that he's retiring from The Masters in 2036:

Some people are saying that Liberty University might not even exist by that point because the DOJ might shut them down. College football, man. Nothing like it, for better and in this case, certainly for worse.
