Theo Von Won A Date With Vanderbilt's Quarterback Diego Pavia's Mom After Betting Him They'd Beat #11 South Carolina On Saturday
You know how after a big upset win, the quarterback usually gets a Gatorade bath, maybe a game ball, and a postgame interview where he drops a couple of clichés about “trusting the process” and “taking it one game at a time”?
Not Diego Pavia. This guy went next level.
Vanderbilt waltzed into Columbia Saturday night and absolutely pantsed #11 South Carolina, 31-7, in one of the biggest upsets of the young college football season. But the real winner wasn’t Vanderbilt, or Pavia, or even Commodore fans. It was Theo Von, who somehow managed to turn a random sideline visit into a real-life MILF sweepstakes.
Midway through the third quarter, SEC Network’s Cole Cubelic casually dropped a bombshell on live TV- Pavia had promised Theo a date with his mom if Vandy beat South Carolina.
This is either the most SEC thing that’s ever happened or the plot of a bad Netflix drama.
Theo, being Theo, didn’t deny it. In fact, he doubled down on the weirdness in real time.
“Yes, that’s true. She’s a nurse. My goal is I would like to marry a nurse one day,” Theo said, like this was some kind of long-term scouting report. “I don’t even know if I’m gonna do it. I like being his friend. I don’t want to end up being, like, his stepdad or something.”
That’s fair. Imagine walking into the locker room after practice and seeing Theo Von giving your mom a foot rub?
Pavia, he balled out with 177 yards and two touchdowns, proving he’ll do whatever it takes to give Theo a shot at true love.
Vanderbilt is now shockingly 3-0, while Theo’s love life is 1-0.
p.s.- I spent an embarassing amount of time looking for more pictures of this woman to post, but there's nada.
