Baker Mayfield Leads The Buccaneers To An Incredible Comeback Win On Monday Night In Houston

The Buccaneers offense started the game on fire, converting their first four 3rd downs and taking a 14-10 lead into halftime after this Emeka Egbuka TD.

But things really settled down in the 2nd half with nobody really scoring until late in the 4th Quarter as the Texans grabbed a 19-14 lead off of a Field Goal and a Nick Chubb touchdown run (missed XP) with just over two minutes left.

The Texans defense played fairly well for most of the game, especially in the 2nd half. But on a critical 4th & 10 with the game essentially on the line, they didn't keep track of Baker Mayfield and he made them pay with his legs.

He kept finding Bucky Irving who made people look silly in space.

And they let the clock run a bit. The Bucs have a new guy on staff, Zach Beistline this off-season to be their Director of Football Research with a focus on improving game and specifically clock management. With two timeouts, the clock was at nine seconds at the two yard line. Rachaad White, who had a fantastic game, put Tampa Bay up for good.
