A Nostalgia Masterpiece: Adam Sandler Brought Kevin James, Vanilla Ice And Michelangelo (The Ninja Turtle) On Stage To Perform 'Ice Ice Baby'
This right here is the perfect boy band. You may not like it, you may not agree with it, but the moment you have Adam Sandler bring out one of his best friends AND a Ninja Turtle? Yeah, that's going to play. It's the ultimate 90s nostalgia itch seeing this, especially when you remember that Vanilla Ice has a history with the Ninja Turtles.
I don't know how else to say it but the Ninja Turtles fucking ruled. You are/were a loser if you didn't like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It didn't matter if it was the toys, the movie, whatever. You had to be around for the Ninja Turtles and pretty sure Michelangelo was the clear cut favorite. You may sneak in a few Leonardo's, maybe a Raphael or two, no one picked Donatello. Nothing makes me happier than the fact one of my boys have gotten into watching Ninja Turtles because it still hits.
I guess this finally makes sense why Vanilla Ice was playing some pickup hoops in Florida with Adam Sandler:
I know people will make fun of Kevin James, but I got a soft spot for him. Love King of Queens. One of the best throw on in the background noise TV shows of all-time. Not to mention Carrie was a smoke for a large portion of that show
Dude gets to hang out, travel around with a good friend and keep the money rolling in. I will never make fun of Kevin James for finding his perfect landing spot. I don't really know why or how this all happened in Florida, but it makes sense. It just works. I need Adam Sandler to bring out random 90s characters at every spot. You wanna bring out Huey from DuckTales? Absolutely. Miss Frizzle from The Magic School Bus? Fire up some Jewel and bring her out. As always, nostalgia just works. This proves it.
