Nobody's Brain Has Been More Battered And Broken By The Tush Push Than Chris Jones

"They ran the same play 7 fucking times!"

Uhhhh yeah, dude. No shit.

Here's something that is incredibly important to remember when we're talking about the Tush Push. It's not like this crazy, unstoppable, cheat code of a play that the Eagles can whip out there whenever they want. The only time the Eagles run the Tush Push is in short yardage situations. So if you don't want the Eagles to run the Tush Push 7 times directly down your throat, then maybe you should consider stopping them before they get into 3rd & 1 and 4th & 1 situations.

It's not like they're lining up on 1st & 10 to run the Tush Push. The Eagles only run the play because opposing defenses can't stop them from getting into the situation that calls for it. Chris Jones isn't upset about the Tush Push. Or at least he shouldn't be. Chris Jones should be more upset that his defense can't keep the Eagles from getting in a position where they can shove it up his ass like that.

I get it. He just lost a Super Bowl to the Eagles. The Chiefs have lost 3 games in a row dating back to the Super Bowl now, and 2 of those losses have come from the hands and tushes of the Philadelphia Eagles. I get why he's a broken shell of a man right now. But this is just another example of why the conversation around this play is so nonsensical. The Eagles would never run the Tush Push if teams just stopped them in the first place. Make them get off the field on 4th & 4. Make them settle for a field goal down in the red zone after stopping them on the 5-yard line. We'd never have to talk about banning the play if teams would simply play better defense.
