Ravens Lose A Gutless Game To Detroit at Home on MNF

Gutless. Absolutely gutless.
The Ravens got beat like a drum tonight. Outclassed, outmuscled, out-efforted, out-coached… it's pretty rare for this time to lose a game where they simply get beat like they did tonight. Most their losses in the Lamar have been very competitive games where they make careless errors or choke the game away or simply aren't the last team with the ball. I can count on one hand how many games where they just get beat up and down the field and this is certainly one.
Credit to the Lions no doubt. Their demise with the loss of their coordinators and changes on the offensive line and etc etc was greatly exaggerated. Those guys are every bit of the team they were last year and showed it tonight. But the Ravens showed very little fight tonight, and they're not exactly a team after vomiting on their little baby bibs in Week 1 to be rolling into primetime games with such a laissez faire attitude.
There was some expected struggles without KVN and even more so with Madubuike being out, but their OL absolutely had their way with our guys up front. It felt like not a single guy beat their man up front the entire night and Goff had their way with us. Just picked us apart left and right. We forced so few negative plays and they were in short yardage situations all night.
There's just not too too much to dissect from that one. What a stinker. Not going to write them off by any means with them having played duds against the Raiders, Browns, and getting their brains bashed in against the Eagles last year and still having been in position to make a run… but holy hell this one is going to require a long look in the mirror.
There's not much reason to think they'll have the balls to go into KC next week and beat them in their barn…. which is probably why they'll do it because this is a dumb sport that doesn't make any sense.
Whatever man. Lions are good. That's the takeaway. Lions are good.
