Straight Out Of A Movie: Shaq's $180,000 Custom Range Rover Was Reportedly Stolen Thanks To A 'Sophisticated Cyber Attack' While It Was Being Shipped

[Source] - Authorities said the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover was being sent to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, when it was stolen.

The SUV was sold to the former Lakers star at Effortless Motors in Riverside. The auto transportation company says it was hit by a "sophisticated cyber-attack."

The Range Rover never arrived at its destination, according to reports.

I've seen this story before, or at least something close to it.

Now, there's a whole debate about whether it was a cyber attack or a double-broker scheme

[Source] - "Effortless Motors was the authorized selling dealership and arranged transport through a third-party company that appeared fully verified. Upon the vehicle’s scheduled delivery, it was discovered that the company’s internal systems had been compromised and hijacked, resulting in the car being unlawfully taken during transit," we're told.

Either way, what the hell are you going to do with Shaq's custom Range Rover? You can't just re-sell it. You can't drive it, considering it's made for one of the largest humans out there. I assume the people stealing it aren't exactly built like Shaq. If they were, they'd be on Inside the NBA or playing in the NBA. Not to mention, Shaq is law enforcement. You're not dealing with a regular guy here.

It's pretty simple here. This is Fast and Furious 12 in the future. You have Shaq in the role of Hobbs (The Rock). Ernie Johnson as Dom Toretto, because he's the leader of the family. Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith in the Tyrese/Ludacris role. We don't need to bring back The Family, when we have it all laid out here. The robber? Easily Reggie Miller. Fuck Reggie Miller.

We live in a world right now where we have some heists and some dumb criminals:

I'm always fascinated by this sort of stuff. I mean, yeah, these are criminals and should be punished as such, but I want to know the backstory into it. How did they target Shaq? Do they even know it's Shaq's Range Rover or was it a shock when they took it off the truck and realized nobody can reach the gas pedal? What sort of cyberattack are we talking about here? I'm too dumb to know any sort of cyberattack and what it means, but you have my attention when it gets thrown out there.

Either way, Shaq is going to be on the case. I also fully expect Charles Barkley to make a joke out of this at some point.
