Nobody Has Ever Been More Addicted To Trades Than Howie Roseman

Howie Roseman has an addiction. Fortunately, it's not to anything like drugs or alcohol. But the man is clearly addicted to trades. So when the Eagles have a bye week, and Howie Roseman has a cellphone in his hand? He's going to go on a trade bender. He just can't control himself.
It starts off with the trade for Michael Carter last week. It's a good trade. The Eagles clearly need some help in the secondary, Michael Carter would clearly love to get away from the Jets. It's not the type of trade that immediately makes the Eagles an unstoppable contender to repeat, but it's a good trade. One that most GMs would be happy with, and consider their job done for the season.
But not Howie Roseman. No no no. That was just the start for ol' Trader Howie. One corner wasn't enough, so he went out and picked up a guy that a lot of Eagles fans would have had interest in before the season.
Now I'm not going to act like I've been dialed in on every Baltimore Ravens game this season. It seems like Jaire Alexander is more of just a name at this point, as opposed to the same Jaire Alexander we've seen in Green Bay. But I think if you told any Eagles fan back in May that Jaire Alexander would be on this defense, they'd be pretty ecstatic about it. So maybe there's a chance this was always where he was meant to be, and it'll allow him to become that same corner we all hoped to get back in the summer.
Two corners in just a couple of days. Howie Roseman saw where the Eagles needed some help, and he addressed it. This obviously all comes after he already made a trade for Tank Bigsby earlier in the year when it seemed like another running back was the last thing this team needed. He got a little carried away on that one, but he stuck to the plan here. The Eagles need help at corner, and they got it. You'd figure any other GM would put the phone down at this point. But not Howie Roseman.
This is where you know Howie Roseman is just in one of those flows right now where the first thing he's thinking about when he wakes up in the morning is making a trade. The last thing he thinks about as his head rests on his pillow at night is the next trade he can make. Trading is consuming his life, and he's ready to make any and every trade possible. If you're a GM in the AFC right now, chances are you woke up this morning to 17 missed calls from a 215 number.

Personally, I think the Eagles got the wrong Jalen/Jaelen/Jaylen from Miami. But in Howie We Trust. This man has built 2 Super Bowl winning rosters in the past decade. He's built a franchise that has been to 3 of the past 7 Super Bowls. He's thrown together a few stinkers in between, but Howie Roseman has deserved the unwavering support and trust of Eagles fans everywhere. If that means we have to be cool with him completely reshaping the defense during the bye week, then so be it. He only has a handful of hours left to make some more deals, so strap in. This could be a crazy race to the finish line.
