The Jets Are Finally Having A Massive Fire Sale By Trading Sauce Gardner & Quinnen Williams

It sounds like the Jets might not be done trading either. But I hope they aren't just making moves with big players. Every player that can bring back any asset at all should go. The 1st round picks are awesome, but don't hesitate getting those 4th, 5th, 6th and even 7th round picks. Anything and everything that can help the future needs to be considered. The present is that bleak.
It feels like it's been a long time since the Jets actually embraced who they are. They are awful. It's been a decade and a half of terrible football. Stop pretending that you are competitive. Life is easier and more successful when you realize who you are. The Jets may finally be doing that.
As for Sauce Gardner, he was a nice player to have and he will help the Colts. But, after two sensation seasons, his play dropped off dramatically last year. He's looked better this year but still not the same guy we saw when he entered the league. He's still a good cornerback but I have a hard time still calling him elite. If the Colts are getting the 2022-23 version of Sauce, then he's very much worth two 1sts. The guy that I saw last year? He's not even worth one.
Looks like the package back for Williams is a 2027 1st round pick and a 2026 2nd round pick. I think he was the best player on the team. That's a solid return but I'm shocked it was less than Sauce brought back. Hopefully, the Cowboys keep being shitty and that 1st next year is a top 10 pick.
I hope the Jets don't stop there. Trade Garrett Wilson. Trade Breece Hall. Trade everyone. We're going to be horrible no matter what. The Jets won't be competitive for a couple years (at best). It makes no sense to hang onto anyone.
It sucks being a Jets fan. It's horrible. Today is our Super Bowl. I know that people say the Jets shouldn't even care about picks because you can't trust they can draft well. But isn't that reason enough to get as many draft picks as possible so the even the Jets can't fuck it up?
I also think that's kind of unfair. If anything today has finally given me hope that the new GM Darren Mougey might actually know what he's doing. Plus, if you aren't going to have hope in the draft picks, then what can we do? The Jets are horrible. It's been so bad for so long, the only thing we can look forward to as Jets fans is the future. If you don't even think the picks could work out, then why watch or care at all?
This is a great day for the Jets. It's awful that a day like this is necessary. But, the team finally acknowledged they suck. That's the first step.
