Boston College Head Coach Bill O'Brien Did Not Like a Reporter's Question And Went Off
Being the coach of a 1-8 football team is probably pretty stressful.
Boston College head coach Bill O'Brien showed some of the effects of that when he exploded at reporter Mike Gualtieri on Tuesday afternoon.
Gualtieri sounded like he was about to suggest he had heard from some disgruntled fans before O'Brien jumped in and went off on him. The head coach even threw in a, "You come around here once a month," barb. Ouch.
It's been a tough year for Boston College football. After winning their opener against Fordham, the Eagles have lost eight straight games, including a home loss to New England Powerhouse and Bowl-Eligible UConn.

I was in Chestnut Hill for that one. I'd call it a 'late-arriving crowd' to be nice.
There have been other signs of stress for the former NFL coach. Earlier this season, he abruptly stopped doing his weekly appearances on Sports Radio WEEI in Boston. There has been some debate about whether that was his decision or the school's.
As discussed on Julian Edelman's podcast, O'Brien was nicknamed "Teapot" by Tom Brady and Brian Hoyer for the way he would get wound up and then explode; you can 100% see that in the clip.
Maybe the energy will help rally the team for their final three games; we'll see. The team still has two more home games, and the fans have a chance to support O'Brien, and I'll be curious to see if they do.
Head football coaches vs. the media is a tale as old as time, especially when the coach's team has lost a bunch of games in a row.
It's not all that common at Boston College, but we got a glimpse of it on Tuesday with the coach once nicknamed "Teapot."
