Multiple UFC Fighters Come Out And Reveal They Have Been Approached About Throwing Fights Before
In the aftermath of this weekend's possibly scandalous UFC card, where Isaac Dulgarian was released from the company and accused of throwing a fight that the FBI is now allegedly investigating - multiple fighters in the promotion have come out and revealed they were offered money to take a dive before.
Vince Morales (who has had 11 fights in the UFC) said he was offered $70k to throw a fight - which is chump change, as he points out - and Vanessa Demopoulos (who has had 10 fights in the UFC) claims she was approached as well. Obviously where there's smoke, there's fire - and I highly doubt the offers stop there.
I just want to know who the hell has the balls to do this - at every level. Whether you're the fighter, the person actually offering throw-a-fight money, or a side player in this scam - how do you think you're gonna get away with this forever?! And who even thinks of starting a con like this? How do you decide the fighters, the events, how much you're gonna pay/make, etc?! How does this business work, and as Luke Thomas asked, who are these shadowy figures involved?!
Hopefully we get a full fledged documentary on this alleged ring of corruption one day, but for now, this is the most shocking video on the subject by far.
P.S. Dulgarian's coach and management team have both denied any/all involvement with fixing fights since this weekend....
