Good Start: 4 Days Before Its First Game Penny Hardaway Announced Memphis Doesn't Have A Starting Lineup, Just Started To Install Its Offense

I, uh, yeah, I have no idea why you would admit this. This is just asking for people to make fun of you, especially if you struggle at all early on in the season. You play San Francisco on Saturday, a team that can 100% beat you. The whole thing with Penny has been really good defensive, offense looks like shit. This does not help with that at all. Oh and if it's not San Francisco, you go to Ole Miss on Tuesday. 

It's simple. Just lie here. Say you've installed it over the summer and you're tinkering with some small things if needed. That's all you have to say. Coaches lie all the time, I'd say basically every single press conference. No one would know otherwise. Even Memphis fans are losing their minds over it. They can't defend it because everyone knows how insane it is to admit this. 

I get during exhibitions you don't want to run all your stuff. But, maybe don't make it up on the fly? Give your guys a chance to run the system you're going to run all season, especially since PJ Haggerty isn't there to bail you out. I think Penny being at Memphis is awesome. He's a Memphis guy through and through, there's something about a guy like that leading their team. But, you can't keep just randomly spewing out this sort of stuff. The answer as always is just lie. It's the easiest thing to do.

You can't have a team meeting before the season starts. You have to wait at least a week, maybe after Feast Week, before this starts to get talked about. Either way, dream start for Memphis. Games haven't even begun and Memphis fans are losing their minds.
