Jennifer Lawrence & Emma Stone Are Teaming Up To Make Muppets Great Again With A Movie Where "Miss Piggy Gets Cancelled" And Tony Winner Cole Escola From ‘Oh Mary’ Is Writing The Script Too

Muppet fans, REJOICE! Also are there still any of you left out there? Feels like that IP has been augered into the ground by Disney+ the past few years, in a very unsatisfying way. Maybe it was too hard recapturing their magic from the late 1950s... Or maybe Disney is just entirely made up of daft doofuses who have no finger on the pulse. Judging from their recent price hike for streaming services, that seems like a pretty likely reality.

But if anyone can give that franchise a shot in the arm, it's Jennifer Lawrence & Emma Stone teaming up together. They sneaky have one of the strongest track records in Hollywood. Rarely make a bad movie experience and always give a fuck to the absolute fullest. No half measures. If they're able to nail that 'Barbie' vibe and entertain the entire audience and not just puppet loving feminists, this could certainly be a massive hit.

And the internet streets seem especially excited about 'Oh Mary' Tony winner Cole Escola writing the script. It's been impossible to live in NYC and not hear rave reviews about that play for the past year. Gay Pat said it was the best he's seen in years. That's pretty rarified air for a city filled with endless demented entertainment. Gotta tip your cap to Cole for that.

Hopefully they find a way to sneak in a bunch of Muppet cameos to create a soft reboot for the entire franchise. And really who better to do all that heavy lifting than Miss Piggy? She's one of the bossiest cuntiest characters to ever exist. Also possibly a borderline abuser with how relentless her emotional manipulation can be. I can definitely see why she would get cancelled… Either way let's all do a quick prayer for Kermit, fingers crossed he makes it out of this movie in one piece.

One thing is for sure though… If they do decide to get spicy with this piggy puppet love, those scenes will be in good hands with Jennifer Lawrence. YOU GO GIRL!
