VIDEO: WSD vs. Spider Tack And 100MPH Fastballs
The words "spider tack" have been the hot words in the baseball world for months now. Who is using it? How much does it actually affect performance? Can it turn a former division III bullpen catcher into a pitcher with a world class arsenal?
The answer to all of the questions above are answered in the video. The TL/DR is this: it feels like the ball is velcro'd to your fingers. It is a VERY weird feeling. Once you find the proper release/slot of the pitch, it feels GREAT though. You command your pitches way, way better and you can feel the difference of the pitch you throw once it's released. It's hard to explain, but I can definitely see why pitchers love this shit.
On a separate note, I was also called out by a bunch of lemmings on Twitter. I said I could put 5 of 100 100MPH fastballs in play:
